Sea Plastic Workshop (More dates coming soon!)
It is estimated that every year, around 12.7 million tonnes of plastic enter our seas. Experts predict that by the year 2050, there will be more plastic in our seas than fish.
This fun, creative workshop aims to highlight these alarming facts. By taking part in this workshop, you will have contributed to helping to clean our beaches and communicate this startling issue to our local community.
We will begin by using chalk pastels to create a stunning background for your artwork, and you will then be shown how to draw your design and how to select the bits of plastic to create your chosen sea creature. You will then be able to mount your amazing artwork in a white box frame for display.
The great news doesn’t end there, because for each £26 place you book, you get to enjoy a delicious hot drink and sweet treat from the incredible ‘Wild and Ginger’ cafe! Sounds like the perfect way to start the day, right?
The workshop is suitable for everyone (over 6 years old). Children are welcome, but must be accompanied by an adult due to the use of a hot glue gun.
All resources are included, as well as a stunning wooden box frame to finish off your unique artwork.
A great idea to give as a special gift, or simply as a talking point on your wall!
